Get a bird's eye view of our feathered friends with the Elliot Lake Public Library's Bird Watching Kit!!

These kits are for loan to adults with a valid library card,

Each kit contains:

  • One (1) knapsack
  • One (1) pair of adult Porro binoculars (with lens cleaning cloth) in carrying case
  • One (1) copy of The Young Birder's Guide to Birds of North America by Bill Thompson III
  • One (1) copy of Birds: a Guide to Familiar Birds of North America by Herbert S. Zim
  • One (1) copy of Birds of Canada - 2nd edition by David M. Bird PhD
  • A copy of Bird Watching booklet/journal for children to record their findings.
  • Pencil 

Policy for Bird Watching Kits:

  • Can only to loaned out to adult with valid library card
  • One (1) kit per household
  • Loan period is two (2) weeks
  • No renewals
  • Kits MUST be returned to Circulation Desk (NOT in the dropbox) with ALL accompanying materials except for the photocopied booklet for children and the pencil.
