Would you like a chance to have your say and become involved in your community, as well as meeting new friends? If so, join TAG, the Elliot Lake Public Library's Teen Advisory Group.

Who?

English and French speaking Teens in grades 7 through 12 are eligible to apply

Where?

The meetings will take place at the Public Library's Reference Area

When?

The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) will meet once a month from October to June. 

Why?

Why not? It's a chance to have your say and become involved in your community, as well as meeting new friends! 

How to Apply?

It's simple.  Pick up an application at the library.  Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, September 30, 2010. Return completed applications to Pat McGurk, Interim Chief Librarian. 

Those selected for an interview will be contacted.

 

Responsibilities of a TAG Member

  • Attend all meetings and be an active participant
  • Suggest ways the library can better serve teens
  • Offer suggestions for exciting teen programs
  • Offer suggestions on new books for teens and provide feedback about the Library's teen collections.  This includes books, graphic novels, magazines, DVDs….
  • Contribute to our Teen newsletter
  • Fundraising
