The library provides a specific computer and station designed to meet the special needs of our patrons who are blind or have visual impairment, are deaf or hard of hearing and/or are physically disabled. A 28" all-in-one computer is loaded with JAWS - an internal software speech synthesizer that reads information from the computer screen aloud. Headphones are attached to the unit. The computer also comes with Zoomtext Magnifier that enlarges everything on the screen, mkaing applications easier to see and use. Other programs on the Accessibility computer are Open Office and an internet browser. The fee is $1.00 per hour session, the same as the rest of the CAP computers.
